A full list of ALL policies and their procedures is displayed in the foyer which you can access at any time and copies are available on request.

1. Sun-Smart Policy

To protect and teach the children about the importance of being ‘sun-smart’.

2. Asthma Policy

When there is any need for asthma medication to be used at our centre i.e. preventer, reliever – all procedures will be adhered to for the control and or treatment of the child concerned.

3. Medication Policy

In order to administer medication to a child in our care safely and effectively at a time or given circumstances.

4. Sick Children - Guidelines to Follow

Unwell children are to be kept away from the centre until they have recovered. Children who experience trouble coping with the days programming due to illness will be sent home, as will any child who presents with signs and symptoms of an excludable illness (Refer: EXCLUSION LIST)

5. Sick Children and Staff – Exclusion

Children and staff who present with an excludable illness (Refer: EXCLUSION LIST), will be required to stay home for at least the minimum period of exclusion. Centre management can ask for a medical certificate in some instances, to authorize a child or staff member to return.

6. Sleep/Rest Policy

Quiet time is encouraged by staff in the pre-school room in order to give all children the opportunity to rest and respecting those who sleep. Babies and toddlers sleep during the day as required.

7. Grievance Policy

Parents have the right to express their concerns/grievances to centre management or the Student Association management and feel comfortable knowing it is confidential.

8. Routines and Transitions

Children and staff are encouraged to follow routines which ensure the effective running of each room.

9. Parental Involvement

Parents are welcome at all times to participate, view and share their knowledge with the children and staff at the centre.
